Associate Percentage – Lab Fees

Associate Percentage – Lab Fees

Question:

What ratio of percentage do you pay an associate i.e. 40%/60% and also the ratio of the deduction that they make in connection with lab bills. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Answer:

We do 50% on lab fees and UDA value

Answer:

We pay 50% and deduct the lab bills. Seems to work quite well

Answer:

We pay our associates 45% and 50% of lab bills/ Botox etc, any more than this and you are losing money, unless you are passing CQC, (and related costs) and credit card costs direct to the associate.

Answer:

I take off the labs from the gross along with everything else and then pay 45% to our associate.

Answer:

45% of gross 50% lab

Answer:

We pay 50% and the lab bills come off the gross amount first

Answer:

We are a NHS practice in Scotland.

Our associates get 50% and pay 50% of all lab bills. They also have a pro rata deduction for use of the hygienist. Any non-NHS work has a 50% split also.

This is something we need to look at as the profit margin within the practice is being squeezed with rising costs and fees which are not keeping up.
